‘BIHU ATTACK’ REVIEW | 16 January, 2026

PKS Films’ Bihu Attack (UA) is the story of a brave court-martial officer, Raj Kunwar (Dev Menaria).

Raj Kunwar believes in the power of persuasion and education. A courageous court-martial officer in Assam, he takes it upon himself to convince various terrorist groups in the region to surrender and join the mainstream. He is a widower living with his young daughter. His life takes a dramatic turn when a major terrorist attack is planned by Pakistan-based terrorist groups during the Bihu festival in Assam at a time when the country’s defence minister is due to visit. How Raj Kunwar thwarts the terrorist attack, with the help of another officer (Arbaaz Khan), and saves innocent lives forms the crux of the story.

Suzad Iqbal Khan has written a routine story which is predictable to the core. His screenplay treads the beaten path and is replete with hackneyed scenes and situations. There is not a single scene which is original or novel. Suzad Iqbal Khan’s dialogues are routine.

Dev Menaria is ordinary as Raj Kunwar. Daisy Shah does an average job as Mansi. Arbaaz Khan is fair as KD. Rahul Dev is so-so. Raza Murad, Mir Sarwar, Amiee Misobbah Dimpu Baruah, Yukti Kapoor, Hiten Tejwani, Jeet Raidutt, Rahul Patel, Mubeen Saudagar and the others provide routine support.

Suzad Iqbal Khan’s direction is as weak as his script. Biswajit Bhattacharjee and Janak Thakur’s music is below the mark. Lyrics (Sanjeev Srivastava and Krishna Bhardwaj) are functional. Kausar Shaikh’s choreography is nothing to dance about. Janak Thakur’s background music is dull. Leela Mohan Shetty’s cinematography is poor. Shekhar Azad’s art direction is okay. Shailendra Kumar’s editing is loose.

On the whole, Bihu Attack is a flop show.

Released on 16-1-’26 at Gem (daily 1 show) and other cinemas of Bombay thru Cinepolis India. Publicity & opening: poor. …….Also released all over. Opening was weak everywhere.
