Veteran actor Bharat Kapoor breathed his last today (27th April) in Bombay at Sion Hospital. He had been unwell for three days and his organs had started failing. He was 80.
Bharat Kapoor’s last rites were performed today at the Sion Hindu crematorium. Chautha ceremony will be held on 30th April fom 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the North Bombay Association (Punjab Association), Bhau Daji Marg, near Sion Hospital, Bombay.
Bharat Kapoor began acting in 1972. He had acted in a number of films, television serials and stage-plays in his 50-plus years’ career. He excelled in supporting and villain’s roles. Bharat featured in several notable films including Noorie, Ram Balram, Ghulami, Love Story, Bazaar, Aakhree Raasta, Khuda Gawah, Swarg, Satyamev Jayate, Rang, Barsaat, Saajan Chale Sasural and scores of others. Among his well-known TV serials are Campus, Saans, Parampara, Tara and Chunauti.
