Payal Ghosh’s lawyer told the Bombay high court on 7th October that she was willing to apologise to Richa Chadda and withdraw her comment against her in the Rs. 1.1 crore defamation suit filed by the latter against her. Payal had dragged Richa’s name in her allegation of sexual misconduct against filmmaker Anurag Kashyap. Richa had then filed a defamation suit against the starlet.
However, soon after the lawyer agreed in court that his client would apologise and withdraw her comments made against Richa, she backtracked and said that there was no question of apology as she had not said anything wrong. She explained that she had merely said what Anurag had told her. According to Payal’s comment, Anurag Kashyap had told her that actresses like Richa Chadda, Huma Qureshi and Mahie Gill had no qualms about giving him sexual favours.
