The “banned tablets” seized from Arjun Rampal on 9th November were identified yesterday (13th November) by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) as painkillers Clonazepam and Tramadol, both of which are opiates (containing opium). They can be taken only if specifically prescribed by doctors for pain.

Arjun submitted the prescription from his doctor for the tablets yesterday when he was questioned by the NCB for almost six hours. The prescription is subject to verification.
