After meeting the Maharashtra revenue minister yesterday, a delegation of the Multiplex Association of India and single-screen cinema owners called on Aslam Shaikh, the guardian minister of Bombay city, today (10th June) to apprise him of the difficulties being faced by the exhibition sector. Like yesterday’s meeting, this meeting was also fixed by Ganesh Kumar Yadav, sr. Vice President, INC.
Shaikh heard the delegation and promised to discuss the matter with chief minister Uddhav Thackeray. The delegation comprised Devang Sampat (CEO, Cinepolis), Rajeev Patni (COO, Inox Leisure Ltd.), Chandresh Daftary (sr. vice president, PVR Ltd.), Thomas D’Souza (sr. vice president programming – PVR Ltd.), and Rajesh Vasani and Jay Vasani (both of Paras Publicity Service).
