The Assam unit of the Congress on 18th November lodged an FIR against Kangana Ranaut for making allegedly defamatory comments against Mahatma Gandhi and other freedom fighters. The FIR stated that her statement, which was a deliberate one, fell under the category of sedition. It added that the statement had hurt the people of this country as well as the families of the freedom fighters of Assam.
