Wishberry Films and Deux Farming Films’ Zollywood (Marathi; UA) is the story of friendship and then, parting of ways.
Raja and Deepak are friends and business partners but a stage comes when they have to part ways.
Asawari Naidu’s story offers no novelty whatsoever and is rather simplistic. Trushant Ingle’s screenplay is routine and often, predictable too. The drama, therefore, fails to evoke the viewers’ participation. Dialogues barely pass muster.
Ashwini Ladekar is ordinary as Poonam. Kajal Rangari does an average job as Raja. Trushant Ingle is so-so as Dalal. Asawari Naidu hardly creates an impact as Rajni. Ajit Khobragde does a routine job as Deepak Kale. Nisha Dhongade, Pappu Katre, Anil Uttalwar, Yuvraj Pradhan, Dinkar Gavande and Rahul Gawande provide dull support.
Trushant Ingle’s direction is weak. Noizzboxx’s music is too ordinary to be true. Noizzboxx’s background music is more functional than anything else. Yogesh Rajguru’s camerawork is so-so. Ajay Thakur Pathania’s action choreography is devoid of great thrill. Vasu Patil’s production designing is average. Editing (Vaibhav Dabhade) is loose.
On the whole, Zollywood is a flop show.
Released on 3-6-’22 at Movie Time Goregaon (daily 1 show) and other cinemas of Bombay thru Sunshine Studios. Publicity & opening: poor.
