Marathi television actress Ketaki Chitale’s lawyer, Yogesh Deshpande, and other advocates handed over a letter to the governor, seeking a CBI inquiry into her case. The letter alleged that while being brought out of Kalamboli (Bombay) police station last month, a mob of “20 goons” attacked and assaulted her.
Chitale was booked and arrested in May for posting on social media derogatory comments about NCP leader Sharad Pawar.
