The trailer of Global Middas Capital’s documentary, 1984 Genocide Of Sikhs, was released on 29th July in Delhi at a press conference organised by the producers at the Press Club of India. The producers are trying to get permission to play the film in the Indian Parliament as also the Parliaments of the UK, USA, Australia and Canada. Efforts are also being made to play the documentary in the United Nations.
Others present at the press conference were Bibi Tarvinder Kaur Khalsa, chairperson of the International Sikh Council, Delhi, and Delhi-based social activist Sardar Jagjeet Singh. Both of them raised questions on the role of the past governments and over the delay in delivery of justice to the Sikh families affected by the genocide.
