The Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Delhi on December 2 questioned Nora Fatehi with regards to fresh evidence emerging against her for having allegedly received ‘proceeds of crime’ from conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar. The actress denied the charges. Nora was interrogated for more than five hours.
A money laundering case is on against the conman, in which a chargesheet has already been filed by the ED. It has been alleged by the ED that Sukesh distributed high-value gifts, including luxury cars, to Nora and Jacqueline Fernandez. Earlier, Fatehi had rejected any wrong-doing but had said that she had attended an event in Madras at the invitation of Leena Maria Paul, wife of Sukesh Chandrasekhar. She added that she had been offered a new iPhone, a Gucci bag and a BMW car which was delivered later to her. She explained that the car was sold by her relatives at a later date.
