Producer Pradeep Uppoor passed away today (13th March) in Singapore where he had gone for medical treatment. He had produced films like Holi, Ardh Satya, Aaghat, Chakra, Purush and Hip Hip Hurray. He produced the last-named film in partnership with Manmohan Shetty. He was also the producer, along with B.P. Singh, of the extremely popular and one of the longest running TV serials, C.I.D..
Aamir Khan made his debut in Holi in a small role. Likewise, Chakra saw Satish Kaushik debut as an actor, in a bit role.
