Saints of Ayodhya have asked the government to ban Adipurush for its misrepresentation of characters and for showing Hindu deities in a distorted manner. Earlier too, the saints had demanded a ban on the film after its teaser was released in Ayodhya.
The film has been in the eye of a controversy ever since its teaser was released last year. The producers reworked on the film and released the trailer a few weeks back. But the controversy erupted again on the day of the film’s release (16th June).
