ONE MORE ARREST IN MUSIC CO. CEO ABDUCTION, ASSAULT CASE | 27 August, 2023

One more person was arrested in connection with the case in which Rajkumar Singh, CEO of Global Music Junction Pvt. Ltd., was abducted and assaulted earlier this month. Vicky Shetty, the accused was arrested from Karnataka on August 26. He was part of the mob which assaulted Rajkumar at his office at Goregaon in Bombay and took him to the Dahisar office of Sena Magathane MLA Prakash Surve.

Surve’s son, Raj, who threatened Rajkumar Singh at the MLA’s office, is still on the run. The total number of arrests in the case has now gone up to four.

Rajkumar’s company had a financial dispute with Manoj Mishra, the owner of a Bihar-based music company. On August 9, a group of 10-15 men landed at Rajkumar Singh’s office and started beating him up. He was dragged into a car and taken to the MLA’s office at Dahisar. Raj Surve and Manoj Mishra were present in the MLA’s office. Rajkumar was threatened by Raj and then moved to another building close by, where he was forced to sign a stamped paper which said that his company’s contract with Manoj Mishra stood cancelled.

By this time, Rajkumar Singh’s employees had alerted the police control room. The police rescued him from Dahisar. Earlier this month, the police arrested Manoj Mishra and two others, Vipul Singh and Chandan Singh. Vipul and Chandan had introduced Mishra to a co-accused who claimed that Raj could help him in the matter.
