The Haryana government has granted writer-producer-director-actor and Godman Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh 21 days’ further furlough. He is likely to be released from Rohtak’s Sunaria jail on November 22 after sunrise. The Dera Sacha Sauda chief has been convicted in rape and murder cases.
Ram Rahim has already been granted parole twice this year — for 40 days in January, and for 30 days in July. In 2022, he was released on four weeks’ furlough and nine weeks’ parole.
The Dera chief will be stationed at Shah Satnam Ji Ashram Dera Sacha Sauda at Barnava in Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat region during his temporary release, and will not be permitted to visit any other location.
