The 8th metropolitan magistrate in Bombay on 4th September rejected the bail application of Armaan Kohli who was arrested in a drugs case. The Narcotics Control Bureau had arrested the actor on 29th August, after raiding his flat a day earlier, where they recovered 1.2 gm. of cocaine. The NCB had booked him under charges of procurement, possession, sale, purchase, transport and illicit trafficking and harbouring.
His lawyer argued that the amount of drugs recovered from him was very small in quantity and he should, therefore, be set free on bail. Special public prosecutor Advait Sethna opposed the bail plea, claiming that the actor had direct links with the two prime accused arrested in the case.
