BOMBAY ATS ARRESTS CALCUTTA MAN FOR PHONE THREAT TO SANJAY RAUT IN KANGANA RANAUT CASE | 12 September, 2020

The Bombay police’s anti-terrorism squad (ATS) on 10th September arrested Palash Bose, a 49-year-old gym instructor from Calcutta, for allegedly masquerading as a Dawood gang member and threatening Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut over the telephone to leave Kangana Ranaut alone and get off the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. Palash Bose had made multiple calls to Raut and other senior Shiv Sena and NCP functionaries, including Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray and NCP chief Sharad Pawar between September 2 and 6.

The ATS team reached Calcutta on 9th September and, with the help of the local police, picked up Bose from his home on 10th. He was produced in a court at Alipore in Calcutta, which rejected the bail plea of Bose and gave the Bombay police a four-day transit remand.
