Vijay Bhaskar Rao, a 52-year-old cinema operator with Prasad IMAX cinema in Hyderabad, committed suicide on 11th September. Since the lockdown started, Bhaskar had been getting only half his salary. Employees of IMAX were told that from next month, they wouldn’t be getting their salaries. This probably was too much for Bhaskar who ended his life.
