‘INCAR’ REVIEW | 3 March, 2023

Inbox Pictures’ Incar (A) is the story of three perverts who kidnap a girl and how she defeats all of them.

Richi (Manish Jhanjholia) is set free from jail on bail. He along with his brother, Yash (Sandeep Goyat), and their maternal uncle (Suneel Soni) visit the temple. After that, they take bottles of alcohol and decide to go to Pabana. However, their car has a breakdown. They hitchhike a ride from a car being driven by a driver (Gyan Prakash). Along the way, they kidnap Sakshi (Ritika Singh) with the intention of having a good time with her in Pabana. How Sakshi and the driver get the better of the trio forms the crux of the drama.

Harsh Wardhan has written a story and screenplay, which are so simplistic that they completely fail to engage the viewers. The story moves on a predictable path while the screenplay hardly has any high points. Resultantly, the drama becomes boring and of the kind which fails to involve the audience. Dialogues, penned by Harsh Wardhan (with additional dialogues by Tushar Khandelwal), are replete with double entendres.

Ritika Singh does well in the role of Sakshi. Manish Jhanjholia also acts reasonably well as Richi. Sandeep Goyat is okay as Richi’s brother, Yash. Suneel Soni lends routine support as the the maternal uncle of Richi and Yash. Gyan Prakash is alright as the driver who is actually an ex-police officer. Vivek Sinha, Sapna Dutta and others provide routine support.

Harsh Wardhan’s direction is routine. Given the poor script and the dull narrative style, the film does not really hold the viewers’ attention. There are no songs in the film. Mithias Duplessy’s background music is nothing to shout about. Mithun Gangopadhyay’s camerawork is average. Action scenes and stunts (by Sunil Rodrigues) afford some thrill. Chetan Sagar’s art direction is okay. Manik Dawar’s editing could’ve been sharper.

On the whole, Incar is a dull fare and a non-starter.
