Hombale Films’ Mahavatar Narsimha is redefining success. The animation film is going from strength to strength in its second week too. In fact, the word of mouth for the film is so strong and positive that box-office collections have grown manifold in the second week.
The first week itself gave enough indication about what was in store for the film in terms of the love of the audience. With collections on each of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of the first week being better than the collections of Friday and Saturday, it was crystal clear that the film was headed for a record-breaking run at the cinemas. As if the first week’s response at the turnstiles wasn’t good enough, the collections for the second weekend have been even more revealing. Collections for the second Friday for the Hindi version of the film, released in South languages too, were more than ten times the collections for the first Friday. At the rate at which it is going, the second week’s net collection total of the Hindi version is likely to be more than 150% of the first week’s net collection total. Why, just the second weekend’s total has already surpassed the entire first week’s total!
