Producer-director and ad filmmaker Raj Kaushal passed away this morning (30th June) at his residence in Bombay due to a cardiac arrest. He was Mandira Bedi’s husband and is survived by his wife and two children, a son and a daughter. Mandira and Raj had gotten married in 1999 and had their first child, a baby boy, in 2011.
Raj Kaushal had produced My Brother…Nikhil. He had also directed Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi…, Shaadi Ka Laddoo (also co-produced by him) and Anthony Kaun Hai?. He had directed hundreds of commercials. He started his own advertising company before he entered the film industry.
He had begun his career as a copywriter. Before he turned independent, he had assisted Mukul Anand.
