Actors Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal’s Pushing Buttons Studios yesterday (26th February) announced its slate of six films. Girls Will Be Girls will be the production house’s debut film. Co-produced by Crawling Angels, Blink Digital and Dolce Vita Films, it recently won two awards — the Audience Choice for Best Film, and the Jury Award for Best Actor for Preeti Panigrahi — at Sundance. It is directed by Shuchi Talati.
The second film, a crime thriller, is titled Papita and is being directed by Akash Bhatia. The third film is Doggie Stylez, a satire on modern humans. It is being directed by Ashutosh Pathak. A musical comedy, Pinky Promise, is written by Amitosh Nagpal. RiAlity is a documentary by Rahul Singh Datta. The sixth film, Miss Palmoliv All Night Cabaret, is a fantasy drama to be directed by Kamal Swaroop.
