After pompously talking about the repealed farm laws, actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has had to eat humble pie. She posted a video apologising for her “bring back three farm laws” remark. The comment that the three farm laws, which were repealed by the government after the farmers’ stir in 2021, should be brought back and that the farmers themselves should demand that, had stirred a major controversy. The BJP itself made it loud and clear that the party did not endorse her views in the matter.
Obviously, the party high command must’ve told the actress in no uncertain terms that such faux pas on her part would not be tolerated, prompting her to issue a video of apology. It goes without saying that the apology video has made Ranaut look foolish for shooting from the lip.
