‘RAMYAA’ REVIEW | 13 March, 2026

Anandvan Creations and Sulbha Kala Kruti’s Ramyaa (UA) is a crime drama. It explores human emotions, relationships, and the struggle of individuals trying to find their place in society.

Sunil Rajan and Santosh Parab’s concept and story aren’t very exciting because there’s no novelty or freshness. Abhinav Anand Nirala’s screenplay is so routine that the drama becomes one boring saga. Although this is a crime film, the thrill element associated with crime dramas is almost completely missing. The audience, therefore, passively watch the proceedings unfold on the screen but don’t feel involved in it. Dialogues (by Santosh Parab, Abhinav Anand Nirala and Aarti Saha) lack the punch.

Janmmejaya does an ordinary job in the title role. Samaira Rao is average. Sayaji Shinde acts ably. Ashok Samarth lends decent support. Sheetal Pathak is adequate. Divyank Patidar makes an average mark. Partha Akerkar passes muster. Ganesh Yadav is good. Pravin Manjrelar does a routine job. Vishnou Dubey, Annapurna Vitthal and Anant Bhaan are passable. Others fit the bill.

Santosh Parab’s direction is weak. Biplaab Dutta’s music and background music are both nothing to shout about. Raghav Verma’s lyrics are so-so. Sushma Suman’s choreography is functional. Navin V. Mishra’s camerawork is commonplace. Kinder W. Singh’s action and stunt scenes hardly afford thrill. Himanshu Singh’s art direction hardly deserves separate mention. Amit K. Kaushik’s editing is loose.

On the whole, Ramyaa is a flop fare.
