‘SUPER DUPERR’ (MARATHI) REVIEW | 3 April, 2026

Zee Studios, Ninetynine Productions and Siddhivinayak Productions’ Super Duperr (Marathi; UA) is a family drama.

Rohit (Lalit Prabhakar) and his live-in-girlfriend, Isha (Vidula Chougule), are strugglers in the film industry. Rohit buys a flat but is shocked to know that agent Babubhai (Kanchan Pagare) has sold the same flat to the Jadhav family too. The matter reaches the court which orders both the buyers to live in the same flat till the final verdict is pronounced. While Rohit and Isha are ultra-modern in their thinking, the Jadhav family is quite traditional as they’ve come to the city from their village. What happens when the Jadhavs are forced to stay under the same roof as Rohit and Isha? How do they tolerate each other? And who gets the flat finally?

Sameer Asha Patil’s story-line offers scope for comedy, fun and frolic and is, therefore, good. Sameer Asha Patil has written a fairly engaging screenplay which entertains too. However, the climax is not very gratifying as the viewers expect more. Light scenes often raise laughter. There’s a dash of emotions too. Sameer Asha Patil’s dialogues are interesting and appealing.

Lalit Prabhakar is alright as Rohit. Vidula Chougule is okay as Isha. Shashank Shende is excellent as Namdev Jadhav. Nirmitee Sawant makes a very fine impression as Namdev Jadhav’s wife, Laxmi. Hrishikesh Joshi lends average support as the Jadhavs’ older son, Balasaheb. Kushal Badrike is fair as the younger son, Kailash. Namrata Sambherao is so-so as Balasaheb’s wife, Suman. Pratiksha Kote provides routine support as Kailash’s wife, Rupali. Jagruti Datir is okay in the role of the Jadhavs’ daughter, Shubhangi. Kanchan Pagare is alright as property agent Babubhai. Umesh Jagtap (as the police inspector), master Abir Surve (as Balasaheb’s son, Prince), Meera Deshmukh (as Balasaheb’s daughter, Kaau), Sunil Deo (as Balasaheb’s maternal uncle), Rohini Hattangady (as the judge) and Vanita Kharat (as Sona) do as desired.

Sameer Asha Patil’s direction is okay. Abhinay Jagtap and Kunal-Karan’s music is so-so; the haldi song is the pick of the lot. Lyrics (by Sameer Asha Patil and Kunal-Karan) are fair. Ranju Varghese’s choreography is passable. Abhinay Jagtap’s background music is quite impactful. Sanjay Jadhav’s cinematography is good. Ejaz Satar Shaikh’s action and stunt scenes are routine. Prashant Rane’s production designing is alright. Abhijeet Deshpande’s editing is suitably sharp.

On the whole, Super Duperr is a fair entertainer.

Released on 3-4-’26 at Plaza (daily 1 show) and other cinemas of Bombay by Zee Studios. Publicity: good. Opening: quite good.
