Maharashtra Motion Pictures’ Jawani Zindabad (Marathi; UA) is a story of true love.
Abhishek (Abhishek Sathe) loves Nandini (Ketaki Narayan). He accepts her despite the fact that she hails from a poor family while he is rich. In fact, his love for her is so pure that he doesn’t spurn her even when he learns that she is suffering from a serious ailment. But do Abhishek’s parents second his decision?
Nitin Uttamrao Sathe’s story is oft-repeated and clichéd. Shiv Kadam’s screenplay is devoid of entertainment and hence it fails to impress. Even the emotional quotient is low. Shiv Kadam’s dialogues are routine.
Abhishek Sathe is no hero material at all. His acting is also poor. Ketaki Narayan is ordinary as Nandini. Yatin Karyekar, Asawari Joshi and Madhu Kambikar lend reasonable support. Manasi Naik, Purwa Shinde, Sachin Gawali and Abhyang Kuwalekar are so-so.
Shiv Kadam’s direction is weak. Music (Krunal Deshmukh and Sahil Kulkarni) and lyrics are hardly entertaining. Camerawork (by Karan Tandale) is average. Vasu Patil’s sets barely pass muster. Editing leaves something to be desired.
On the whole, Jawani Zindabad is a flop fare.
Released on 13-12-’19 at Bharatmata (daily 1 show) and other cinemas of Bombay thru Sunshine Studios. Publicity & opening: very poor.
