‘AMARIS’ REVIEW | 3 June, 2022

Released last week in Bombay and East Punjab, DOM Productions and AJ Film Entertainment World’s Amaris (UA) is the story of a young man who is obsessed about his girlfriend’s loyalty to such an extent that the obsession borders on insanity.

Pushpendra Singh has written a single-track story which bores the audience after a point of time. His screenplay does not offer much by way of entertainment. Even his dialogues are dull.

Avneet Singh fails to impress. Krissann Barretto is ordinary. Kinshuk Vaidya passes muster. Sumit Singh does a routine job. Kurush Deboo, Namrata Nad and the others lend ordinary support.

Pushpendra Singh’s direction is poor. Anusha Randhawa’s music is unimpressive. Suryakant Tyagi’s camerawork is barely passable. Amit Patak’s art direction deserves no special mention. Amit K. Kaushik’s editing is loose.

On the whole, Amaris is a flop show.
