Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while campaigning for the BJP in Karnataka on May 5, flagged the Congress party’s opposition to a film which “exposes a new form of terrorism” as a reflection of the political party’s alleged surrender to terrorist elements. He was, obviously, referring to The Kerala Story.
The PM was speaking at a political rally at Ballari near Bangalore, and was talking of the Left-ruled Kerala. He added, “But Congress is trying to get the film banned as the party has a history of appeasement for votes. It is even indulging in back-door political bargaining with those inclined towards terror. Karnataka should be cautious about Congress.”
