‘RAASHIFAL’ REVIEW | 29 March, 2024

Released last week in East Punjab, Guldaan Production’s Raashifal (UA) is about a young man who is led to believe that words and names beginning with ‘Ch’ are the cause of all his miseries. His undue belief in astrology and astronomy reaches such a level that even his wife contemplates leaving him.

Gulshan Madaan’s story and screenplay are interesting in parts but the drama does get monotonous after a point of time.

Rajveer Chauhan and Neha Thakur are average. Inder Damie lends fair support. Others barely pass muster.

Gulshan Madaan’s direction is just about average. Teenu Arora and Sumit Saha’s music is okay. Gulshan Madaan’s lyrics are alright. Shariq S. Khan’s camerawork is functional. Editing is loose.

On the whole, Raashifal lacks universal appeal.

The film collected Rs. 20,695/- in 1st week in Chandigarh.
