The Kerala police have filed a case against Malayalam film director-actor Ranjith under IPC section 377 (carnal intercourse against the order of nature) based on a young man’s complaint dating back to 2012. The man complained to the DGP that the filmmaker-actor had called him to a hotel room and subjected him to unnatural sex.
Other than this, actors Edavela Babu, Sudheesh, Mamukkoya (late) and late director Harikumar have been booked for sexual abuse following allegations by a junior artiste.
