‘WOH 3 DIN’ REVIEW | 30 September, 2022

Cinekorn Entertainment, Indian Cinephile and Aminor Creation Pvt. Ltd.’s Woh 3 Din (UA) is the story of a foreigner and a cycle rickshaw driver.

Rambharose (Sanjay Mishra) is a cycle rickshaw driver who is short of money. He has a loan to repay and has also promised the principal of his daughter’s college that he’d pay the fees within a month. A foreigner, Sanjay Mishra (Chandan Roy Sanyal), comes to the town of Rambharose and asks him to be with him for three days and take him to places he desires. Sanjay Mishra promises to pay Rambharose Rs. 1,000 per day. However, Sanjay Mishra disappears on the last day.

Rambharose complains to the police. Rambharose is asked by police inspector Dayanand (Rajesh Sharma) to take him to all the places he had gone to with Mishra. What happens thereafter? Is Mishra found? Does Mishra give Rambharose the Rs. 3,000 he had promised? What about the balance money Rambharose needs?

Seepi Jha’s story is silly and doesn’t make much sense. Jha’s screenplay fails to engage the viewers because it is as ridiculous as the story. The police inspector asking Rambharose to make him roam exactly like he had roamed with Sanjay Mishra seems rather weird. Equally weird is Mishra’s story about impersonating a foreigner. All in all, the drama is shockingly weak. Except for a bit of entertaining comedy, there is precious little else in the screenplay. Dialogues, written by Seepi Jha, Sanjay Mishra and Chandan Roy Sanyal, are ordinary.

Sanjay Mishra acts ably as Rambharose. Chandan Roy Sanyal is good as Sanjay Mishra but he overacts at places. Rajesh Sharma is not very impressive as police inspector Dayanand. Purva Parag (as Rambharose’s wife), Sneha Singh (as Rambharose’s daughter, Rani), Rakesh Srivastava (as Bholu, friend of Rambharose) and Parnima Chandok (as Rani’s friend, Neelam) lend fair support.

Raaj Aashoo’s direction is below the mark. Music (by Raaj Aashoo and Mohit Chauhan) is quite alright. Lyrics (Pancham Singh, Seepi Jha and Prarthana Gahilote) are so-so. Anmol Daniel’s background music is functional. Camerawork (by Jigar Khan) is average. Sandhya Sharma’s art direction is commonplace. Amit Aanand’s editing leaves something to be desired.

On the whole, Woh 3 Din is a disastrous fare.
