DISNEY DROPS ‘FOX’ FROM 20TH CENTURY FOX COMPANIES | 24 January, 2020

The Walt Disney Co., which bought Twentieth Century Fox studio and Fox Searchlight as also most of Rupert Murdoch’s other entertainment assets last year in a $71-billion deal, has dropped the word ‘Fox’ from both the names. The studios are now known as Twentieth Century Studios and Searchlight Pictures. The word ‘Fox’ has also been dropped from the logos of the companies. The trumpet fanfare, klieg lights and logo will remain.
