UK-based rapper Hard Kaur was on 19th June booked for social media posts against RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath. Acting on a complaint by local lawyer Shashank Shekhar, the Cantonment police lodged an FIR against Hard Kaur under IPC sections 124A (sedition), 153A (promoting enmity between different groups), 500 (defamation), 505 (statements conducing to public mischief) and section 66 of the Information Technology Act.
