The Bombay police’s Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) has found no evidence against actors Shraddha Kapoor, Nora Fatehi and Siddhant Kapoor in the 2022 drug manufacturing and distribution case. It will file a chargesheet next week against the accused. The chargesheet will only reference Siddhant Kapoor.
The case has its origin in an operation by the ANC in August 2022, in which a Bombay-based man was arrested with mephedrone, leading to the unravelling of a larger drug distribution network. Further investigations revealed a manufacturing unit in Sangli district, resulting in the seizure of drugs and assets worth more than Rs. 250 crore. The aforementioned actors’ names figured in the probe when the accused spoke of their involvement.
