Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy will be India’s official entry to the Oscar in the foreign film category this year. The announcement that the film had been selected for the 92nd Oscar Awards was made by the Film Federation of India on 21st September in Calcutta. Aparna Sen was the jury chairperson.
