Bala did extremely well in 1st week. It was the widest release of Ayushmann Khurrana and, therefore, it took a bigger opening than his past films. It netted Rs. 10.15 crore on the first day. Collections jumped by 50% on Saturday which closed at Rs. 15.73 crore. The figure for Sunday was even more impressive at Rs. 18.07 crore. After a weekend of Rs. 43.95 crore, the film collected as follows in the weekdays: Monday – Rs. 8.26 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 9.52 crore (Guru Nanak Jayanti partial holiday), Wednesday – Rs. 5.20 crore, Thursday – Rs. 5.30 crore.
