Actress Chrisann Pereira, who was framed in a drugs case in Sharjah in April, returned to the city late on August 2 after finally being cleared by the UAE authorities. The Sadak 2 and Chehre actress spent almost a month in jail there. She broke down at the Bombay airport on seeing her family.
Chrisann was acquitted by a Sharjah court in June on the Indian government’s request through diplomatic channels. One Ravi and his friend, one Paul Anthony, were arrested by the Bombay police soon after Chrisann’s arrest in the UAE for framing her over petty issues.
