Singer, former Union minister and two-time Asansol MP Babul Supriyo announced on social media yesterday (31st July) that he was quitting politics. In his Facebook post, which began with the word Alvida, Babul said that he was resigning from being an MP and would hand over his official New Delhi residence within a month.
