‘BERA EK AGHORI’ REVIEW | 28 April, 2023

Dhiraal Entertainment’s Bera Ek Aghori (A) is the story of an aghori in a village 500 years ago. The aghori had mastered the art of black magic. He used to perform his art in different states of the country. In fact, so adept was he in the art of black magic that he could take the form of anybody. There is also a track of an expensive diamond.

Shakti Veer Dhiraal has written a horror story and screenplay, which, in today’s times, would be more suitable for television. On the big screen, his drama simply fails to create an impact. Rather, it looks like a documentation of all the magic the aghori can do.  Even Shakti Veer Dhiraal’s dialogues are ordinary.

Prem Dhiraal is dull as Vikram. Shakti Veer Dhiraal is weak as Rajveer. Prajakta Shinde lends routine support. Others barely pass muster.

Prem Dhiraal’s direction is dull. Prem-Shakti’s music and lyrics are functional. Samir Kumar’s choreography hardly deserves mention. Sandeep Kapoor’s background music doesn’t add to the drama. Cinematography (Roshan Khadgi and Rahul Bhute) is so-so. Milind Rameshrao Kulkarni’s editing is loose.

On the whole, Bera Ek Aghori is a non-starter.
