The 51st edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) has been postponed to next year in view of the rising cases of COVID-19 in Goa. The festival was scheduled to be held in Goa from November 20 to 28 this year but will be held instead from January 16 to 24, 2021. The postponement decision was taken after I & B minister Prakash Javadekar discussed the modalities of hosting the event with Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant. It is planned to conduct the event in a hybrid format — virtual and physical.
