‘PATHAAN’ BECOMES BIGGEST HINDI BLOCKBUSTER EVER, INCHING ITS WAY TO OVERTAKING HINDI DUBBED VERSION OF ‘BAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION’

The Woman King (dubbed) failed to get the audience to the cinemas in its first week, and turned out to be a major flop.

Pathaan continued to rule the box-office in its second week too. It netted a little less than Rs. 100 crore in its second week. After overtaking Dangal on the 11th day, its original Hindi version surpassed the Hindi dubbed version of K.G.F. Chapter 2 (Rs. 440 crore) on the last day of the second week. The only film the original Hindi version of Pathaan now needs to overtake is Bahubali 2: The Conclusion (Hindi dubbed Rs. 510 crore). Pathaan started its second weekend with a net collection of Rs. 14 crore (Rs. 13.50 crore for the Hindi version; Rs. 0.50 crore for the Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions). Collections on Saturday jumped to Rs. 23.25 crore (Hindi Rs. 22.50 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.75 crore). The total for Sunday was Rs. 28.50 crore (Hindi Rs. 27.50 crore; dubbed Rs. 1 crore). After a phenomenal second weekend total of Rs. 65.75 crore (Hindi Rs. 63.50 crore; dubbed Rs. 2.25 crore), collections for the weekdays were also excellent, considering especially the fact that it had already netted Rs. 429.90 crore (Hindi Rs. 414.50 crore; dubbed Rs. 15.40 crore) in the first 12 days (first week of nine days, second weekend of three days). Collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 8.55 crore (Hindi Rs. 8.25 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.30 crore), Tuesday – Rs. 7.75 crore (Hindi Rs. 7.50 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.25 crore), Wednesday – Rs. 6.75 crore (Hindi Rs. 6.50 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.25 crore), Thursday – Rs. 5.95 crore (Hindi Rs. 5.75 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.20 crore). In this way, the total for the weekdays was a handsome Rs. 29 crore (Hindi Rs. 28 crore; dubbed Rs. 1 crore). Total for 2nd week: Rs. 94.75 crore (Hindi Rs. 91.50 crore; dubbed Rs. 3.25 crore). Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 458.90 crore (Hindi Rs. 442.50 crore; dubbed Rs. 16.40 crore). Its performance Overseas was also wonderful. It grossed an equivalent of Rs. 77.50 crore in 2nd week, taking the total for 2 weeks to an equivalent of Rs. 337 crore. In gross figures, the worldwide total for 2 weeks is an astounding Rs. 888 crore!
