The Bombay police have recovered from the Tapi river in Surat a pistol purported to have been used by the two men who fired at Salman Khan’s residence on April 14. A hunt is on for the second pistol.
The alleged shooters, Vikas Gupta and Sagar Pal, had a pistol each, but one of them couldn’t fire at all since he had to ride the getaway motorcycle. The two men, who were arrested from Bhuj on April 16, claimed to have thrown both the pistols into the Tapi river near Surat. During investigations, the duo also told the police that they had carried out the firing at the star’s house at the behest of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
