Saira Banu, who was admitted to Hinduja Hospital at Khar in Bombay on 28th August after she complained of breathlessness, is stable now. She had been put on oxygen in the ICU yesterday (1st September). The 77-year-old actress has been diagnosed with left ventricular failure, a dysfunction of the heart that leads to insufficient blood supply to vital organs.
Cardiologist and her treating doctor Dr. Nitin Gokhale said, she was now out of danger. The actress will be kept in a step-down facility before she is discharged from hospital.
