Veteran film producer-director Raj Kumar Kohli passed away earlier this morning (24th November) at his residence in Bombay following heart attack. He had gone for a shower but when he didn’t come out for a long time, his son, actor Armaan Kohli, broke open the door and found him lying on the floor. He was rushed to hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. Raj Kumar Kohli was 93 and is survived by his wife, Nishi Kohli, and son, Armaan Kohli. He will be cremated this evening.
Raj Kumar Kohli, whose favourite attire for many years was a white shirt and white trousers, was known for his multi-starrers. Among the films he made were Nagin, Jaani Dushman, Naukar Biwi Ka, Bees Saal Baad, Badle Ki Aag, Aulad Ke Dushman, Virodhi, Raaj Tilak, Jeena Nahi Doonga, Pati Patni Aur Tawaif, Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani, Qahar, etc. He had also made Punjabi film Main Jatti Punjabi Di, starring wife Nishi.
