SHAHID KAPOOR’S GYM SEALED | 18 March, 2020

Shahid Kapoor’s gymnasium at Bandra in Bombay was sealed by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation on 16th March for allowing Shahid and his wife to work out in its premises despite the state government’s directive to shut down all gyms across the state in view of the coronavirus outbreak. Shahid and gym owner Yudhishthir Jaising received raps on their knuckles from the civic body for their irresponsible behaviour in violating a public health advisory.

The actor and his wife, Mira, were working out at the gymnasium for nearly two hours on 15th March. The gym was shut for the entire day due to the state government advisory but it opened in the evening where the couple were seen working out. Jaising had earlier denied that he opened the gym for Shahid. He had said that Shahid was a close friend and he, Shahid and Mira were spending time with some other friends at the gym since it was closed.

Shahid had been shooting for the Jersey (Telugu) remake in Chandigarh from where he had returned on 14th March after the shooting schedule had been cancelled in view of the coronavirus scare. Jaising said, Shahid had asked him to get some equipment after he sustained an injury in Chandigarh. He explained that he was showing Shahid the right way of using the equipment.
