Actor Amitabh Dayal, who had been serious for the last 16 days, lost his battle with life today (2nd February) after he suffered cardiac failure. He breathed his last around 4.30 a.m. at Nanavati Hospital in Bombay. He had been hospitalised after suffering a heart attack on 17th January. While in hospital, he had tested positive for COVID-19 but he was cured of that. He was 51.
Dayal had acted in films like Kagaar, Virrudh, Dhuaan etc. He was married to filmmaker Mrinalini Patil. He is survived by his wife and a daughter. In his last Instagram post, he had shared a video of himself from the hospital and had written a motivational message along with it. The message read: “Never give up… God is waiting to give you the best… Keep fighting. Love all. A.D.”
