‘JAGATGURU SHREE RAMAKRISHNA’ REVIEW | 16 February, 2024

Released this week in Bihar (Jharkhand), VEC Films’ Jagatguru Shree Ramakrishna is about the life of Hindu mystic Shree Ramakrishna Paramahamsa.

The story of the film borrows from the life of Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and how he influenced people. The screenplay is quite basic and gives the feel of a documentary. Dialogues are very average.

Performances of Amarkant Rai, Mukesh Ram Prajapati (as Swami Vivekananda), Manoj Pandey (as Master Saab), Shreshtha Bhattacharya, Chandni Jha, Gajanand Pathak, Deepak Ghosh, Chanchala Roy, Sanjay Tiwari, Prasanna Mishra, Prashant Kumar Pandey and others are ordinary.

Dr. Bimal Kumar Mishra’s direction is routine. Music (by Ajay Mishra) is good but not of the popular variety. Lyrics (Dr. Hare Ram Pandey) are average. Rahul Pathak’s camerawork is so-so. Editing (Gopal Rajbhar) is loose.

On the whole, Jagatguru Shree Ramakrishna is a dull fare with no box-office potential.
