A Bombay-based lawyer, Santosh Dubey, on September 22 sent writer-lyricist-poet Javed Akhtar a notice for allegedly making “false and defamatory” remarks against the RSS in an interview to a television news channel. Dubey said, he would file a criminal defamation case against Javed Akhtar, seeking damages of Rs. 100 crore from him if he failed to tender an “unconditional written apology”.
