SATYAPREM KI KATHA took an average start on Thursday (June 29) although the public reports were positive. The word of mouth is expected to ensure that collections grow. The first day closed at Rs. 9.50 crore in spite of the Eid festival holiday. Collections dropped on the second day which closed at Rs. 6.50 crore.
Punjabi film CARRY ON JATTA 3 took an earth-shattering opening yesterday (June 29), breaking all past records. It netted Rs. 4.52 crore on the first day (East Punjab – Rs. 3.54 crore, Delhi – Rs. 0.78 crore, rest of India – Rs. 0.20 crore), making it the biggest opening in the history of Punjabi cinema. The second day (Friday) closed at Rs. 3.75 crore, again a record!
1920: Horrors Of The Heart did well in the first week. The weekend collections were impressive for the scale of the film. The first weekend started with a take of Rs. 1.48 crore on Friday for the Hindi version. Considering the net collections of the Telugu dubbed and Tamil dubbed versions too, the first day’s total was Rs. 2.34 crore. Collections (all versions) increased to Rs. 2.72 crore (only Hindi version: Rs. 1.85 crore) on the second day, and further to Rs. 3.01 crore (only Hindi version: Rs. 2.09 crore) on the third day. Therefore, the first weekend’s total was Rs. 8.07 crore. The weekend’s total for only the Hindi version was Rs. 5.42 crore while for the Telugu dubbed and Tamil dubbed versions was Rs. 2.65 crore. Collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 0.89 crore for the Hindi version; Rs. 0.41 crore for the dubbed versions, Tuesday – Rs. 0.85 crore for the Hindi version; Rs. 0.29 crore for the dubbed versions, Wednesday – Rs. 0.81 crore for the Hindi version; Rs. 0.24 crore for the dubbed versions, Thursday – Rs. 0.76 crore for the Hindi version; Rs. 0.23 crore for the dubbed versions. Therefore, the total for the weekdays for the Hindi version was Rs. 3.31 crore whereas for the two dubbed versions was Rs. 1.17 crore. In this way, the total for the first week for the Hindi version was Rs. 8.73 crore while for the dubbed versions was Rs. 3.82 crore. Grand total for alll the three versions for the first week: Rs. 12.55 crore.
Elemental (dubbed and the original English versions) performed poorly in the first week.
Adipurush performed badly in the second week all over, falling almost 90% as compared to the first week. The second weekend was at least fair but collections during the weekdays were pathetic. The second weekend started with a take of Rs. 2.50 crore on Friday. Collections on Saturday increased to Rs. 3.50 crore. The Sunday total was Rs. 2.75 crore. After a second weekend total of Rs. 8.75 crore, collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 1.15 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 1 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.90 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.70 crore. Hence the total for the weekdays was Rs. 3.75 crore. In this way, the total for the second week was Rs. 12.50 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 124.25 crore.
The Flash (dubbed and the original English versions) started its second weekend with a net collection of Rs. 0.85 crore. Collections almost doubled on the second day which closed at Rs. 1.67 crore. The jump in collections on Sunday over Saturday was minimal. Therefore, the total for the third day was Rs. 1.69 crore. After a second weekend total of Rs. 4.21 crore, collections for the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 0.43 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.41 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.46 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.30 crore. Hence the total for the weekdays was Rs. 1.60 crore. In this way, the total for 2nd week was Rs. 5.81 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 28.17 crore.
Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts (dubbed and the original English versions) is on its last lap. It netted Rs. 1.52 crore in the third weekend and another Rs. 0.58 crore during the weekdays. Hence the total for the third week was Rs. 2.10 crore. Grand total for 3 weeks: Rs. 29.01 crore.
Zara Hat Ke Zara Bach Ke did fair business in its fourth week. The fourth weekend started with a net collection total of Rs. 1.35 crore on Friday. Collections increased to Rs. 2.25 crore on Saturday, and further to Rs. 2.88 crore on Sunday. Therefore, the total for the fourth weekend was Rs. 6.48 crore. Collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 0.99 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.90 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.90 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.72 crore. With the total for the weekdays being Rs. 3.51 crore, the fourth week closed at Rs. 9.99 crore. Grand total for 4 weeks: Rs. 82.53 crore.
Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse (animation, dubbed and the original English versions) began its fourth weekend with a take of Rs. 0.37 crore on Friday. Collections shot up to Rs. 0.81 crore on Saturday, and further to Rs. 0.92 crore on Sunday. After a weekend total of Rs. 2.10 crore, collections for the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 0.30 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.28 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.22 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.18 crore. Hence the total for the weekdays was Rs. 0.98 crore. In this way, the fourth week closed at Rs. 3.08 crore. Grand total for 4 weeks: Rs. 42.87 crore.
