‘LAW OF LOVE’ (MARATHI) REVIEW | 4 February, 2022

Vedika Film Creation’s Law Of Love (Marathi; UA) is a love story. Aditya (J. Uday) and Sakshi (Shalvi Shah), studying in the same college, fall in love with each other. However, various obstacles come in the way of their love story. Does society accept their love story?

J. Uday’s story and screenplay are not interesting enough to capture the audience’s imagination. The drama, therefore, does not engage the viewers or involve them. Dialogues, penned by J. Uday and Makrand Linganurkar, are ordinary.

J. Uday is average as Aditya. Shalvi Shah is so-so in the role of Sakshi. Mohan Joshi does well. Yatin Karyekar provides decent support. Anil Nagarkar is okay. Ravi Kadam does a fair job. Yogesh Pawar, Sachin Maske and Prachi Palwe pass muster.

J. Uday’s direction is routine. Music (by P. Shankaran) is functional. Lyrics (Nilesh Kotke, Murad Tamboli and P. Shankaran) are okay. Taj Khan’s choreography is nothing to yell about. Aditya Bedekar’s background music is ordinary. Manjunath Nayak’s cinematography is quite nice. Dev Raj’s action and stunt scenes are so-so. Satish Bidkar’s art direction is fair. Manish Shirke’s editing leaves something to be desired.

On the whole, Law Of Love is a poor show all the way.

Released on 4-2-’22 at Gem (daily 1 show) and other cinemas of Bombay thru Sunshine Studios. Publicity & opening: poor.
