Basantakumar Chakraborty, father of Mithun Chakraborty, passed away on 21st April in Bombay due to renal failure. He was 95. Mithun is in Bangalore due to the lockdown and could not, therefore, remain present for the last rites which were performed by his elder son, Mahakshay Chakraborty.
